Line Offloading

Overview

Line Offloading is where a SKU or group is produced on more than one line.

It is produced on a primary line first until it can no longer meet demand, after that it offloads production onto one or more other lines.

Each line has different associated changeovers and runrates for the products/groups.

Setup

To incorporate line offloading, you need to include changeovers and runrates for your SKUs or groups on the different lines it can be produced. Then you run your scenario with your selected constraints.

Here is an example of group production being offloaded from one line to another. You can see BEEF being offloaded from Line 2 to Line 1.
